Features

Everything you need for transactional email

Five real product capabilities, built for teams that depend on every send.

Render with variables

Render templates by passing dynamic variables on every call. {{ user.name }}, {{ order.id }} or any data your backend needs to inject.

Drag-and-drop visual editor

Design templates by dragging blocks onto the canvas. Built on React Email: what you see in the editor is the HTML the API renders.

In-browser preview

Check every template on desktop and mobile before sending. No test emails: the preview is the real render.

Git-style versioning

Every save creates a version. Compare, roll back and audit your template history as if it were code.

SendGrid, SES and Resend

Render once and send with your provider. Switch ESPs without rewriting a single template or touching your code.

How it works

From editor to inbox in three steps

A simple, predictable API for your transactional flow.

Design the template

Build blocks in the visual editor or upload your own React Email HTML. Add variables with the {{ double-brace }} syntax.

POST /v1/templates

Version every change

Each save generates a version with its history. Diff, rollback and full audit from the API or the dashboard.

GET /v1/templates/:id/versions

Render and send

Call the render endpoint with your data and get the final HTML. Send it with SendGrid, SES or Resend: your choice.

POST /v1/templates/:id/render

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Common questions about the API, the editor and sending.

Does EmailTemplate send my emails?

No. EmailTemplate is a template engine: it creates, versions and renders the final HTML. You send with SendGrid, SES or Resend — no provider lock-in.

How do dynamic variables work?

Define variables in the template using the {{ name }} syntax and pass them in the body of the render call. The API substitutes each variable and returns the final HTML.

What does git-style versioning mean?

Each template save creates an immutable version with its history. You can diff two versions, review changes and roll back to any point with one click.

Can I use my own React Email HTML?

Yes. The visual editor generates React Email-compatible code, and you can also import existing components or HTML to manage and version them via the API.

How does it compare to SendGrid templates?

SendGrid locks editing into their platform and requires sending through them. EmailTemplate separates template from delivery: render via API and choose your ESP freely.

Is there a free plan?

Yes. The Free plan includes 500 renders per month, 3 templates and the basic visual editor — no credit card required.
